Fun in the city

Today I had a fun time hanging out with my friend James from work and his wife Dani. We went to the city to check out a really neat Mary Blair exhibit at the Cartoon Art Museum, had some tasty panuchos at the Farmer's Market, and sketched a little afterwards. Here are some of the ones I came up with!

I'd say it was a Saturday well spent!

Whoa that baby is hilarious! I would not want to meet him in person though. Looks a little scary. I also like the guy with the eyes. SO....inTENSE. :)

You can steal my sunburny-freckles anytime you want, Adrian. It's not like I invented them or something. I just ripped them off some miserable teenager that forgot to wear sunscreen (no matter how many times his mom reminded him).

I like that happy/intrigued/Andy Warhol guy reading his book.

When are you coming down here anyway?! Nobody gets the banana phone thing.

Hey Adrian,

Is the aggressive fellow with the flat top pointing and talking to you? Just curios.

(...No, no; I'll refrain from saying "Yo Adrian!"...Wait, I just said it.... Damn it...)

You've always had a cool switch-up in style between the graphic shape approach and the more classic render style. You meld those styles here in interesting ways. I esp. like the character hunched over the book; nice dynamic pose with some cool graphic shape choices for the face.
